WATER – Here is a list of the ten(10) right ways to drink it according to Filipino celebrity-doctor Willie Ong.

Every day, we should drink water to keep our bodies healthy. Men can survive without food for days but not without the said drink. One of the conditions that is prevented by drinking water is dehydration.

However, drinking it daily is not enough. There are actually the “right” ways to do it according to Dr. Willie Ong, a prominent Filipino doctor in the Philippines. Through a video posted on social media, he narrated these rightful ways.

Based on the video posted by Dr. Willie Ong on his YouTube channel, here is a list of the ten(10) right ways to drink water:

  1. When you wake up in the morning, drink one(1) to two(2) glasses of warm water to help flush the toxins out from your body.
  2. Drink between eight(8) to twelve(12) glasses daily depending on your weight. According to a study, a person weighing 120 pounds should drink at least eight(8) glasses while 190-pound person should not go below twelve(12) glasses.
  3. Drink little by little to lessen the stress on the heart.
  4. Do not wait until your are thirsty before you will decide to drink. Your thirst means you are short two(2) glasses already.
  5. Prefer water over other drinks like coffee and soda as it has no calories, caffeine, or sugar that can harm your body.
  6. Kids should be taught early on its importance and should always have a bottle with them.
  7. Drink more during the sunny weather which prompts more sweat from the body.
  8. Drink more during exercise time to compensate for the fluid released by the body during a strenuous activity.
  9. When you are sick, drink more of it as it can help your body recover from infections.
  10. Pregnant women should drink between 8-10 glasses daily.
