SUPER FOODS – Doc Liza Ong shared the different types of super foods which are good for our general health and body yet very cheap and won’t cost you that much.

We all want to be healthy and eat healthy, however, not everyone is given the chance and sources to afford these kind of foods which our body can greatly benefit from. But Doc Liza Ong says otherwise because there are these foods that are budget-friendly and also friendly to our body which she calls “Super Foods” because they are cheap and yet very nutritious.

Here are the super foods that you must take:

  • Green Leafy Vegetables – Any green leafy vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals, iron, folate, and other components that help prevent heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, stomach disease, and cancer.
  • Bean – Tofu, monggo, and other members of the bean family are high in protein. Beans also have iron, folic acid, minerals, fiber potassium, and vitamin B6. Beans are low in cholesterol and sodium which is good for the heart health.
  • Fish – Tilapia, bangus, galunggong, dilis, sardines, tuna, and among others are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids which prevents heart attacks, stroke, and reduces cholesterol.
  • Tomatoes – The tomatoe itself and other tomato-based products such as tomato sauce and ketchup have antioxidant called lycopene which helps removes dirt in cellula that combats heart diseases and prevent prostate cancer.
  • Carrots – They are good for our eye health and a great source of vitamin A, C, and E.
  • Sweet Potatoes – This food has vitamin A, B6, C, and E which helps us to avoid cancer.
  • Banana – This food fights off ulcer.
  • Nuts – They have good fats which is good for the heart, brain, to lower cholesterol, and one of those that can make you smart.
