HEALTHY FOODS – Here are the types of foods that Doc Willie Ong has identified as something you must eat, you should eat in moderation, and avoid eating.

We are what we eat and what types of foods we eat truly shows in our body. There are a lot of foods out there that are both tasty and filling. For a healthy body, you must fruits, vegetables, quality protein, and other whole foods in your plate.

The variety of healthy foods comes in various colors as well for they offer different types of nutrients and vitamins that your body needs.

FOODS YOU MUST EAT:

  • Fruits and vegetables – they contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals which are all necessary for a healthy body.
  • Nuts, beans, and tofu – they contain protein such as vegetable protein which are healthier that those that are found in meat and pork.
  • Fish – it has omega-3 fatty acids which is beneficial for the brain and heart.

FOODS YOU MUST EAT IN MODERATION:

  • Rice, bread, and pasta – they have carbs which contributes to weight gain.
  • Chicken and turkey – “nilagang manok” is better than “nilagang baboy” and it has benefits to people with colds, fever, and flu.

FOODS YOU MUST AVOID TO EAT:

  • Pork and beef – lechon, crispy pata, bulalo, and pata tim are proven to have fats that are not good for the health and causes heart attack, stroke, and cancer.
  • Processed meats – some of these are hotdog, bacon, ham, and salami because they contain lots of preservatives.
  • Internal organs of butchered animals – they are high in cholesterol and you are not sure how clean it is like the intestines because it is where their stools pass through as per post from Doc Willie Ong.
