This type of workout helps strengthen core muscles, improve stability, and work out your legs and lower back. It may also help you in doing your daily activities to make you move around efficiently. It also improves your coordination and keeps your body active.

According to a post from NHS, here are some movements to improve your balance and stability:

  • Sideways walking

How:

On knees slightly bent and feet together, make movements by stepping sideways in a slow and controlled manner. Step with one foot first, then step with the other to join the first one.

  • Simple grapevine

How:

Walk sideways by crossing one foot over the other.

  • Heel-to-toe walk

How:

Stand straight then make your right heel touch the floor and touch the front of your left toe.

  • One-leg stand

How:

Face a wall and make your fingertips touch the surface of the wall. Then, lift one leg for 5 to 10 seconds while the other remains standing slightly bent and put it back gently.

The above-stated exercises are just a few variations to do to improve your balance. There are other ways where you can use a tightrope, bands, or a platform. Everyone can benefit from this. Just enjoy doing them and have fun.
